Gary and Janet Webb of Podiatry and Wellbeing assisted in holding a therapy day for the Parkinson’s group at Douglas Tilbe House day centre in Welwyn Garden City. Gary did Gait analysis for members of the group to help resolve their gait related issues due to the Parkinson’s illness.  The gait tends to become much shortened and very unstable, which puts the sufferer more at risk of falling. Gary was able to use his experience to assess and give advice to help prevent future falls. Janet gave a very relaxing Reflexology treatment which was extremely popular amongst the group.  Reflexology targets the reflex points in the foot, which are connected to the internal organs of the body. Treatment leads to a very therapeutic affect for the client. Gary and Janet donated £100 from the day to the Letchworth Garden Hospice.
